Masuizumi Link 8888
SakeJunmai Daiginjo sake in 12-year-old Chivas Regal American oak barrels, after which it’s blended under the expert guidance of Glen Keith Distillery.
This sake is made using Yamadabo, Yamadanishiki, and Kuromai, a kind of brown rice with different kinds of yeast including wine yeast. Each sake was individually aged in American white oak 12+ year ex-Chivas casks, then later blended to create Link 8888.
8,888 refers to the distance between Chivas Regal, the worldwide famous whisky factory in Scotland, and Masuizumi in Toyama Prefecture in Japan.
It has the herbal aroma of wooden barrels, and the taste is unique and rich with the note of honey.

Founded 1893 in the city Iwase in Toyama prefecture at the Japanese west coast. The area is famous for its excellent cuisine based on fish and seafood. The sakes of the Masuizumi brewery pair very well with this cuisine.
