The second release of 2024 from Tamba Distillery.
This blend was supervised by Akiteru Kitahata (owner of BAR Silver Moon) and Tetsuro Kuranuki (representative of BAR Lag Wagon), both of whom serve as whisky ambassadors for Kizakura. The key malt is peaty whisky aged in sherry casks. The rich aroma evokes the smoke of fireworks and tanned leather, with flavors of honey toast and dried fruit, and a finish of spices and bitter chocolate.
scent The smoke of sparklers, the tatami mats of a newly built Japanese-style room, fragrant wood, rich custard cream in the background, vanilla extract, osmanthus, and a hint of menthol.
taste Smooth texture, dried mango, toasted bread and sticky honey, and hints of milk soap.
Finish The finish is moderate, with a slight orange bitterness, cinnamon and ginger-like spiciness, and a subtle smoky sensation lingering on the tongue. The aftertaste is pleasant and not unpleasant.
